Madelynn came to August Veils with the dream of an epic bridal veil to compliment her classic gown.  While shopping she had seen lace on a different bridal gown that she loved, and was able to order multiple appliques for us to use.  She also brought in some vintage lace from her Grandma's wedding gown, and small flowers from her mom's gown.  After reviewing inspo photos and all the lace we had to work with, Madelynn and I came up with the perfect plan.  She didn't want any of the lace on her gown train, so that the lace veil could have it's own moment to shine.

Grandma's lace had yellowed with age, and really stood out against the new lace appliques, so I took the time to gently clean and brighten the lace prior to trimming.  I ended up re-arranging the lace several times until I found a pattern that would work and be able to include all the heirloom pieces cohesively and create a beautiful pattern.  Madelynn and I met another time to confirm the arrangement of the lace as well as the veil size before permanently attaching it all.

Madelynn and I were thrilled with the final outcome, and seeing it in her wedding photos is nothing short of EPIC!  She got the modern veil of her dreams with the added bonus of honoring two previous generations.  Modern and sentimental, the best combo!
