I am delighted and thrilled to take over this prolific business and every day look forward to helping future brides complete their bridal looks with a creation from August Veils.
When Andrea decided to retire in 2021 after 22 years, I was honored to take over August Veils and to continue the legacy she has worked so hard to build.
As the years continued, my fascination for completing a bride’s look never faded, and my opportunity to pursue this passion presented itself to work for Andrea in 2017. I have been sewing since I was very young and was thrilled to put my skills to work as an outlet for these incredible creations. The fact that something I designed and made could be a memorable heirloom for a bride for years to come, was an exciting and gratifying prospect.
During my years as a stylist, I was fortunate to come across Andrea, a local veil and headpiece designer and the original owner of August Veils, who often frequented the bridal shop where I worked. She is the one who showed me a new form of design that I hadn’t even considered: veils. I fell in love with how a veil could take someone in a beautiful gown to a completed wedding day look with just one accessory.
My start in bridal is a very personal one. I was shopping with my sister for her wedding gown, when I unexpectedly fell in love with bridal. I fell in love with the genuine fun and joy the stylists had in their job, and I knew that I wanted to be part of this amazing world where you can be the dream makers for brides. After this peek into the magic I could have as a stylist, I am proud to have been one from 2010 to 2021.
