Kaitlyn brought in this fabulous veil and headpiece from her mom's wedding in the late 1980's.  We had a lot of fun discussing which elements she would like to bring into her own bridal style.  She loved the delicate flowers and dainty pearls, but wanted something more simple and manageable.  Kaitlyn also wanted to use the longest layer of her mom's veil to use as her own veil.  We decided to make a medium sized comb and dainty pearl hair pins for her to wear, and simple hair pins with pearls and delicate flowers for her mom and sister to wear at the wedding.

Kaitlyn and I worked together to create just the right design for her hair comb, one that was light and delicate but had enough oomph to be a statement piece.  I enjoyed the process of making these items to help bring the previous generation into the current one, and how special to include her mom and sister in these memories.
